The Holy Spirit
We believe in water baptism, the baptism in the Holy Spirit as distinct from the new birth, the gifts of the Spirit, and the fruit of the Spirit — all of which are available to believers.
The Holy Spirit is the active presence of God with His people. He convicts the world of sin, brings new birth to the believer, and empowers Christians for witness and service. Water baptism is a public confession of faith and identification with Christ’s death and resurrection.
We also believe God equips believers by the Spirit with gifts for building up the church and serving others, and that a Spirit-filled life will be marked by Spirit-produced character — the fruit of the Spirit.
