Cargo Capacity
Question
How much cargo can we take on a mission?
Answer
Cargo capacity depends on the aircraft selected and the mission profile. Even with the same aircraft, allowable payload can change based on fuel required for the route, runway constraints, temperature/altitude, and whether passengers are traveling with the cargo.
We evaluate both weight and volume (and center-of-gravity/balance considerations) to confirm what can be carried safely. The best way to get an accurate answer is to provide a cargo manifest with weights and dimensions.
More Information
- See aircraft cargo area details on our fleet page: /fleet/index.html
- Provide: total weight, piece count, largest item dimensions, and any special handling needs (fragile, temperature-sensitive, etc.).
- If you have passengers too, tell us how many—passengers and cargo share payload limits.
Related Questions and Answers
Passenger capacity depends on the aircraft seating configuration and mission requirements. For many missions, the practical limit is a balance between people, cargo, and fuel needed for the route.
